Kathy McCourt started her pottery career as a hobbyist, but with her incredible talents, she was soon asked by a local studio to teach 4 evenings and a full day class. It wasn’t long before she became a full time employee working in sales, book work and still teaching most of the classes. Also, during this time, as a Ceramic Shop on Wheels (might she have been the first Mobile Paint Your Own Pottery Studio?!), she taught Senior Citizens for 6 years for a Junior Technical college and three senior apartment sites. |

In 1991, Mayco Colors approached her to travel teach for them. From travel teaching she went on to sales for Mayco representing them at various trade shows. She has traveled worldwide for Mayco including Europe and Canada. Kathy McCourt graduated from the University of Massachusetts - Dartmouth with a BA in Psychology and a double major in Elementary Education and has also taken many graduate courses. |
